ENCINITAS, CALIFORNIA — Two men from California fell off a seaside cliff trying to catch ‘em all, in this latest incident of Pokémon Go players being stupid. NBC San Diego reports around 1 p.m. 0n Wednesday, lifeguards reported someone falling off an ocean bluff near E. Street in Encinitas. When rescue firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a man on the beach who had fallen almost 90 feet from the cliff. A second man was spotted 50 feet down. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the two men, both in their 20s, were users of popular augmented reality game Pokémon Go, and were trying to catch a pocket monster near the cliffs. Despite a fence and a sign warning that the bluff was unstable, the men crossed over to the other side to pursue their pokemon. They fell off the edge shortly after.
